Here’s my son getting in on a shot to show off my first band of tablet weaving. I used wool yarn for both the warp and the weft, which created a rather thick band. This was made on two c-clamps attached to my table and threaded using the continuous warp method.

Looking good. I have not yet tried tablet weaving though I have done some inkle weaving and I have a set of cards for card (tablet?) weaving – as yet unused!
I believe that card and tablet weaving are simply two terms for the same thing. If you already use an inkle loom, then adding some cards when you warp it up and playing with some patterns shouldn’t be too hard! 🙂 I’ve decided to go with an Osberg loom as warping an inkle loom just looks complicated! 🙂
I have never heard of an Osberg loom, must check that one out. I haven’t found the inkle loom that difficult to warp. Warping is always the boring bit though – to me anyway!

Here’s a picture of one being built and in use. I haven’t gotten mine yet as it’s being built for me.
Wow, that looks fascinating. Thank you. Good luck when you use it.
